Facebook users can use multiple methods to start advertising their business on Facebook, but they should have an account already on the application.

Steps to Advertise on Facebook

1- Create a new ad campaign

2- Define your Audience

3- Adjusting Your Ad's Placement and Budget

4- Create Ads

Some of the tested methods are given below-

To create a new ad campaign-

  •  You can visit the Facebook application on your PC and sign in to your account at www.facebook.com

  • To sign in, you need to enter your registered phone number/email id/ username and password in the given tabs.

  • If you don't already have a business page, you will need to create one. If the Facebook page is not linked to your business, then it is strongly advised to link the Facebook account.

  • Now after creating the business page, you have to click the drop-down menu. It is available in the top right corner of the Facebook News Feed page. After clicking it, you will be able to see the drop-down menu.

  • In some downloaded applications, the Menu icon will be featured as Gear shaped icon.

  • Now you have to select the "create ads" option from the drop-down menu, and Facebook's Power Editor will be shown on the screen, which helps in creating the ads.

  • You will be prompted to select a marketing objective, and you have to Click one of the tabs below the "What's your marketing objective" heading. You can select the objective as per your preference, but the ad's initial preferences will differ depending on your selected objective.

  • Now you have to scroll down to enter the name of your campaign in the "Campaign Name" text box.

  • The title that you selected is private and can only be seen by you.

  • If you have selected the conversion objective, then you also have to select the "Key Result" from the drop-down box and then select the result that you want.

  • If you had selected Engagement objective, then at first, you will need to select the type of engagement from the "Engagement" heading.

  • For some objectives, you can select the "Create Split Test" checkbox if you want to run two sets of advertisements at once so that you do a comparison side by side.

  • Now you have to select the blue continue bottom to define your audience type.

Define your Audience-

  • You may see a form or a drop-down box depending on the selected marketing objective. Therefore fill out the form or select the option to get to the "Audience" section.

  •  Audience location- You can also select your ad audience's location from the "Locations" section; you can remove the current location but pressing the Cross button and typing the location manually.

  •  Audience Age- you can scroll down to find the age section to select the targeted audience age. You can select the left corner to select the minimum age, and in the right corner, enter the maximum age of the audience.

  • Audience gender-  if it is necessary, then you can also select the audience gender from "Men" or "Women" from the "Gender" section. By default, Facebook had selected the "All" option, and unfortunately, it doesn't have other options apart from these three.

  • Language- in case you want to offer your ad in more than one language, then you can do so by choosing the "Languages" section and selecting the options.

  • Selecting the Connection type- scrolling down, you will find the connections menu, and after choosing it, you can choose the category.

Adjusting Your Ad's Placement and Budget

  • In the "Placements" section of the page, you have to make sure that "Automatic Placements (Recommended)" is selected because this will help in pacing the ads on Facebook-tested locations and on Instagram and other Facebook products.

  • Now scroll down to the Budget & Schedule section to determine your budgets, such as your daily budget or lifetime budget, and click the continue tab.

Create the Ad

keep your advertisements short and stick to the visuals because rather than text-only ads, the videos and photos stick out more on Facebook ads. You can edit the rest of the ad, such as name, text font, format, etc., as per your preferences and complete the process by clicking the confirm button.
